Creating a real estate mutual fund trust is the culmination of an 18 year goal.

The OCMI Mutual Fund Trust is ready and accepting registrations at ParvisInvest.com for the Lougheed Landmark Coquitlam project.

For years, investors have desired to use their registered funds to maximize returns in real estate assets instead of in mutual funds.

Before, we only accepted non-registered funds with a $100,000 minimum investment.

Today, we accept non-registered funds and RRSP, LIRA, and TFSA with a $25,000 minimum investment.

Risk is the possibility of loss or injury.

Every day we encounter numerous risk factors: driving a car, taking a bus, flying in a plane, crossing the street, playing slots at a casino, placing a bet, buying a second hand appliance or vehicle, buying a home, buying a piece of land, the list goes on.

Whether the risk is physical or financial, we manage risks to alleviate the worst case known as risk management or risk mitigation.

The graduated driver’s licensing system in BC is designed to create safer drivers and foster accident prevention.

Life insurance is used as a financial resource for business and family matters in the event of premature death.

Skydivers and scuba divers take training first to enjoy an extreme sport while managing the potential life-threatening risks.

In the same way, investors need education to become financially literate.

They do so by starting out with small investing steps and working their way to bigger investments as they develop their financial acumen.

Ignorance is not bliss, but knowledge is power.

We have partnered with Western Pacific Trust Company (WPTC) that allows investors to self-direct their registered funds.

For example, I can open an account at WPTC and transfer the funds within my existing RRSP and TFSA accounts or open a new RRSP or TFSA account, for a nominal annual fee.

If you don’t know which online forms apply to you, you may email them at info@westernpacifictrust.com.
